this is going to be a long one, so for your enhanced pleasure, i have added not three, not four, but TEN scores to soothe you while reading what is bound to be an exhuasting experience for your eyes.
the tracks playing above are all from HoYoMix's score for Genshin Impact, focusing on mainly the regions of Inazuma (namely, Narukami and Watatsumi Islands), Enkanomiya, and Sumeru. they are all calming, and you'd find 'Illuminated Coral Palace' playing in my Serenitea Pot if you ever pop in for a quick visit! i have chosen these scores for their relatively low mental stimulation, while still being breathtakingly gorgeous on the ears. they are not lyrical in any form so as to not distract you too much.
these scores have been some of my favorites and have helped me through times in my life where i was an idiot teenager prone to having idiotic thoughts. even three full regions after Sumeru's completion, they have still remained un-dethroned from their spots as my favorites. they're heckin' good, and i hope you love atleast some of them as much as i do.

- 1. Please introduce yourself.
- hello! as you know by now, the name's Celestia. i'm your average neighbourhood nerd
- 2. How long have you been making websites?
- i have a fair bit of experience:) let's just say that celcat isn't my first attempt at one. if we're getting into technicalities, i've been making websites since i was roughly eleven, but those were really amateurish and school work that i fancied up because i've always been a sucker for aesthetics
- 3. And what got you into the hobby?
- my sixth grade Computer Science textbook. we were just starting with HTML back then and i was very excited to memorize every single tag attribute i could. i was (read: still am) obsessive like that. i especially loved the section on colors and loved manipulating RGB numbers into eye-sore colors haha
- 4. What kind of website are you most interested in?
- websites that give me an experience (˶' ꒳ '˶)! it doesn't have to be heavily complex or anything, but i love it when people make a website for one purpose and everything on their website revolves around it in some way. i also love websites that are 90% text because i love to read. like, i'll devour anything as long as it contains words. its how i've gained so many cognitohazards in my life, actually, but i don't regret it! give me a website with all that nom-nom-able text and i'll gladly nom it up!
- 5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?
- i am older and wiser; i have a concrete plan now! one of the ways in which i've streamlined the making of this website is by using the exact same CSS styling for every single page. i've also been accounting for current (and future!) themes, and i decided that having one basic framework for every website would be in my best interests. it wouldn't make me wrack my brain for more and more unique ideas (because i've run out of them), and my precious Miku themes wouldn't break
- 6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.
- i... i don't have a lot of inspirations for this one. i will link to a few sites who have helped me in uncountable ways during the formatting and Frankenstein-ing process of this site.
petrapixel has been invaluable to me in terms of inspiring me to make fun lists. she's also massively helped me with the statuscafe widget!
- 7. What's your favourite part about making websites?
- the infinite possibilites that await my fingertips from the moment i begin to code. like i said, i'm a sucker for (almost always) useless aestheticisms and so i enjoy making themes and layouts and perfecting my code:) that's the case here on celcat, at least!
- 8. And the thing you struggle with the most?
- JavaScript. i hate it with every fibre of my being, but it is unfortunately extremely essential to me since i need to use it to toggle between themes and accessibility options
- 9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?
- ooh, looks like i answered this one already! i use the same CSS sheets, but i add and remove divs depending on what i want on that page (๑>•̀๑)
- 10. How confident are you with CSS?
- very! as long as i have access to Stack Overflow, that is... my mastery over CSS is very conditional, you see
- 11. Do you know how to correctly use <dl>?
- i do now!
- 12. What is your favourite HTML element?
- yikes, that's a tough one ( ° ᗜ ° ")! i'm going to say <div> or <span>; they're the only tags holding this website together. they're my duct tape!
- 13. If you're making a new web page from scratch, what is the first thing you do?
- copy over EVERYTHING from my homepage and then remove and edit divs accordingly. hey, no one ever said it was the safe or sane thing to do! don't look at me like that (˶˃⤙˂˶)

- no, but it is on my bucketlist! i want to make celcat look professional:)
- 16. Does your website have a theme that you stick to?
- no doy! i have so many themes and they're all Hatsune Miku. in a way, i suppose Hatsune Miku is the overarching theme of my website
- 17. Are you more focused on content or design?
- now that i'm relatively satisfied with the design, i'm focusing more on the content. i want this website to contain the best version of myself as i exist outside of Celestia to remain even when i'm dead and gone. content is of supreme importance!
- 18. Do you own a domain name? If not, would you ever want to?
- i don't, but i would really, really like to (✧﹃ ✧)
- 19. What do you think of nostalgia-focused or "retro" websites?
- they're great! i love love LOVE seeing retro win98, win7 or win11 websites! or even people making their own versions of retro websites, like Kuroi OS or this scarily accurate replica of win99
- 20. Is your HTML valid? Do you even check?
- it is not. BUT as long as it works, i do not care (˵＞𐋣＜˵)
- 21. What are your opinion on buttons and banners?
- amazing! fabulous! wonderful! we can never have enough banners and buttons and stickers and stamps in this world!! i especially love collecting Miku and other vocaloid-related stamps (˶˃𐃷˂˶)
- 22. What do you think of button walls in particular?
- well, it depends. sometimes, they're really overstimulating when the whole page is slathered in hyper-satured, 12fps flashing buttons or blinkies and i don't like that. but they're amazing otherwise!
- 23. If you started over again, would you make something similar or completely different?
- since this is technically my do-over attempt at a website, i can confidently say that this is COMPLETELY different to what i originally made! seriously! the difference is like night and day ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ and i've said this before: celcat's the most sanitized version of me as i exist online, so it stands to reason that the other versions of me out there would have nothing to do with a bubblegum-pink, picture-perfect avatar
- 24. Are you envious of other people's websites?
- no? i don't really experience envy, even IRL, because. what's the use of an emotion like envy anyways? at least jealousy has a use; it can motivate you to better yourself to reach a certain standard set by someone else. but envy is such a purely negative emotion that it has no positive use. it is one of the most concentrated melicious emotions that can exist and, quite frankly, i believe that the world could do without that emotion.
i know that the intention of the author of this questionnaire was probably to invite the person filling this out (me) to examine myself and maybe gush about other websites that i love, but i am quite particular about word choice. especially a word like 'envy'. it has a powerful, negative connotation, and i don't want anything to do with it. ever. - 25. What text editor do you use?
- the Neocities editor, plus Notepad to store bits and baubles of code (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)
- 26. Why do you use that one?
- because it's the most convenient? and because it gives me instant updates (almost always) on the changes i make to code. i know there's a VS Code extension that lets you do the same, but i don't know how that one works and i'm honestly kinda lazy ꜀( ꜆-ࡇ-)꜆
- 27. Do you host your image files on your web server, or on another host?
- hosting it all here! and some images i'm hot-linking from Pinterest or Tumblr (PLEASE DON'T MURDERIZE ME FOR THIS!!)
- 28. This might not be relevant to you, but what's your opinion on the Neocities vs. Nekoweb debate?
- i honestly don't know about the debate? and i don't care, honestly, as long as i have a way to maintain my website as it exists now ദ്ദി˙∇˙)ว
- 29. How much server space would you estimate your main website takes up?
- 1.3% (13.44 MB) so far. i'm eventually going to host all of my files on here so i don't hot-link all my buttons and stamps and violate web etiquette more than i already have
- 30. Do you keep local backups of your files?
- nope! and i really should =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪‧̣̥̇)
- 31. Do you prefer simple or highly visual websites?
- depends on the message they try to convey, really. simple websites work if that's what the webmaster intends, but highly visual sites can be just as effective. to illustrate:
though it is an unnavigable eye-sore without the filters on the sides. i'm starting to think that i'm drawn to a certain kind of artsy-yet-chaotic-and-awesome look... - 32. Do you stick to certain colours? Do you do that on purpose, or is it your subconscious?
- i most certainly stick to certain colors! every single bit of color on this site (with the exception of images and other external media) is deliberately chosen with love and care (੭｡╹▿╹｡)੭ each theme has their own set of colors, ranging from a set of seven to ten hexcodes. my most favorite color in the whole world, Tiffany Blue (#81D8D0), and one of my other favorite colors, which is a shade of pink (#F5CAC7) that is a touch darker than sakura, feature most prominently in my default theme!
- 33. Have you ever thought about quitting? Why?
- never. it's been a few months since i've started coding, and not once have i wanted to leave
- 34. Do you have many webmaster friends, or is it a solitary hobby?
- i am but a solitary webmaster, walking this path littered with fallen sakura petals alone (҂◡_◡)
- 35. Do people in your real life know about your website?
- this one, yes! i told my parents about this one, and while my mother is quite unenthused about me pouring in hours and hours of work into making it, she has admitted that it looks pretty. she dislikes seeing Miku plastered all over my virtual walls, which, ouch (＞﹏＜) who could hate Hatsune Miku?!?
- 36. Do you update your website very often? How often is "very often"?
- daily, for now. i plan to set up a framework and then move to just blogging or making layouts and themes
- 37. And the overall design, do you change that much? Why or why not?
- i've said this twice already, but i suppose third time's the charm: i'm keeping things simple and neat because of wanting to maintain site-wide themes for all webpages! i can't do that if i need to have new CSS sheets for every iteration of a page; it's better to add and/or remove divs based on the needs for that particular page
- 38. Is your website more you-focused, hobby-focused, or outside world-focused?
- a mix of all. i'm still working on getting there!
- 39. Do you do web design professionally?
- no, and i don't wish to. with how generative AI has been taking over the web design area, i don't have much hope for the future anyway
- 40. If not, would you like to? And if you're comfortable answering, what do you do for work?
- i'm having to repeat myself a lot with this one (⊙ω⊙) i wouldn't want to pursue it professionally due to, again, AI, and as of September 2026, i'm unemployed and without a college! fun times ヽ(´▽`)/
- 41. Do you communicate with people by email very much?
- no, but i wish i could! i;m tired of replying to people on instagram just to "maintain" relationships. i want to not feel the need to have social media platforms
- 42. Some people reject social media and use websites as a replacement. Do you keep social media outside of your website?
- i unfortunately have to. this world punishes you for being an introvert, and big data corpos want you to use their soul-sucking, algorithm-driven, slop-perpetuating platforms so that they can steal all of your data and use it to train AI algorithms and steal every bit of individuality and identity you have until you're assmilated within a digital hell, so they force you to migrate to using social media platforms and reward your brain by letting you have that hit of dopamine when you see a friend like your post or watch your follower-count steadily increase and then suddenly, all of your friends are only active on instagram and don't respond to your messages on WhatsApp and people aren't comfortable sharing their phone numbers but are waaay too comfortable with giving out their instagram IDs to complete strangers and you're forced to use the very thing that you despise because you have to do it to maintain friendships and connections and you have to do it so that your friends don't think that you've stopped caring about them and you HAVE TO DO IT BECAUSE THE TECH OVERLORDS DEMAND IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE EVERY BIT OF DATA THEY CAN ABOUT YOU BUT STILL NEED TO SEE THE WHITES OF YOUR EYES FOR A RETINAL SCAN BECAUSE WHAT USE IS A HUMAN LIFE IN THE FACE OF AN UNSCALABLE MOUNTAIN OF WEALTH

- whatever's playing on that particular page. as of working on this page, i've been listening to HoYoMix's Genshin OSTs on repeat. i used to be massively into video game music and film scores before i discovered Vocaloid, and it was nice to get into that headspace again while working on this ･*:.｡.(๑>◡<๑).｡.:*･

- oh, i absolutely need another one! i can't put all of my eggs in one basket now, can i?
